Durbanville is one of Cape Town’s fastest-growing suburbs, and with so many people living, working, and running businesses here, it can sometimes be difficult to find the right service when you need it. Whether it’s a plumber, a tutor, a pet sitter, or even a local coffee shop, most of us turn to our WhatsApp groups or Facebook feeds and ask: “Does anyone know someone reliable?”
The answers are almost always there — but they get lost in the flood of daily messages. That’s exactly why CGW Community was created.
A Central Place for Local Businesses
CGW Community is a free online directory that makes it easy for Durbanville residents to find trusted local services. Instead of digging through old chat threads, you can now browse categories such as:
- Home services (plumbers, electricians, handymen)
- Education (tutors, training, workshops)
- Health & wellness (doctors, physiotherapists, beauty salons)
- Food & lifestyle (restaurants, catering, bakeries)
- Pets (vets, grooming, walking services)
Each listing includes contact details, descriptions, and other useful info, all in one place.
Why Supporting Local Matters
Supporting local businesses has a huge impact:
- Keeps money in the community: every rand spent locally supports jobs and families in Durbanville.
- Builds trust: it’s easier to trust a business recommended by your neighbors.
- Strengthens community spirit: when we support one another, the whole area thrives.
Built by Neighbors, for Neighbors
The CGW Community directory was started by local residents who saw how much opportunity there is within our own neighborhoods. It’s designed to be simple, free to use, and focused only on Durbanville and its suburbs — from the CBD and Wellway Park to Uitzicht, Sonstraal, Vierlanden, and Aurora.
How to Get Involved
- Search the directory to find reliable local services → View Listings
- List your business for free if you’re a local entrepreneur → Add Your Business
- Share the word with your neighbors so we can grow together.
Final Word
Durbanville is filled with talent, skill, and services waiting to be discovered. With CGW Community, we finally have a single place to connect residents with the businesses that make our neighborhoods stronger.
